With the release of the fresh version of Microsoft’s older operating system, over 75 million devices are already running Windows 10. It is known to be the biggest update Microsoft has released. With so many new features and improvements, the Window’s 10 update takes a minimum of 20GB of free space. Fortunately, there is a way to retrieve this space.

- Click Start and launch the “Disk Cleanup” app
- Select your system drive and click “Clean up system files”
- The tool will calculate the space you can reclaim and include an option: “Previous Windows Installations”. Check this box.
- After checking the box, check “Temporary Windows Installation files” and click ok
In just a couple of minutes you will gain almost all your storage back while still enjoying the benefits of Windows 10.
