Have you upgraded to Windows 10 but realized that your PC has started freezing more? Here are some tips to help prevent this: 
- Uninstall Incompatible Programs – check the programs you have installed and see if they really are compatible with Windows 10
- Update Drivers and BIOS –
- Adjust Paging Files – problems could occur when you are trying to move large files. You can check the paging file by going to Control Panel < System < Advanced System Settings < Advanced tab < Settings < Advanced tab < Change (under Virtual Memory)
- Disconnect all Devices – Windows 10 may not be the problem but some external device could be
- Check for Faulty Hardware – if this is the case, you will need to perform a hardware test
- Disable Overclocking – machines with high end CPUS might be causing windows to freeze. It is best to turn off any CPU adjustments and make sure everything is set to the default setting
- Power Settings – Change plan settings < Change advanced power settings < PCI Express < Link State Power Management < Make sure it is Off
- Clean Install Windows 10 – backup data and do a clean of Windows 10
