You may be awaiting the iPhone 8 and wondering what features it has. A previous leak from the HomePad firmware revealed that the iPhone 8 is going to feature facial recognition to unlock your device. The feature will replace the usual Touch ID. iHelp BR also noticed that there will be a setting where it lets you unlock your phone while it is resting on the table or any flat surface.
When people heard about dropping the Touch ID, they were skeptical because they don’t want to hold their phone in front of their face every time they want to unlock it.
However, Apple is going to try to make this as convenient as possible. The company is relying on infrared to map your face so that it works in the dark. Apple is currently working on three models of the phone. Rumor has it that the iPhone 8 is going to have a taller screen that is going to fill the whole front of the device except for the speaker, camera, and sensors.
