The Security Firm Check Point Software has identified malware that has affected more than a million Android devices. Check Point Software has found a security breach called Googlian which gains access to authentication information from Google services. This malware infects phones by hiding behind free applications that appear safe and valid. This malware can also be downloaded by clicking on links in emails or text messages. Once it is downloaded, information is sent to Googlian and it slowly takes over the device by acting as a user and imitating their behavior. It then bumps up the ratings of the malicious applications which only draws users into the trap more.
