Want to stop different web browsers from constantly asking for your location? Here’s how for each web browser:
Microsoft Edge
- Open the settings app and go to Privacy>Location
- Scroll to the bottom until you see the heading “Choose apps that can use you precise location”
- Turn the toggle off
Google Chrome
- Click the vertical three dots in the upper right hand corner
- Select settings and the settings tab will open
- “Show advanced settings” > “Privacy” > “Content settings” > “Location” > “Do not allow any site to track physical location”
Opera
- “Click Menu” in the upper-left corner
- Settings > Websites > Location > Do not allow any site to track my physical location
Mozilla Firefox
- Type about:config into the address bar and hit enter
- Accept the risk
- Type geo.enabled and hit enter
- Double Click that option with your mouse and disable it
Internet Explorer
- Click the settings icon in the upper-right corner
- Internet options > Privacy > Location > Never allow websites to request your physical location
Safari
- Open the system’s Apple menu
- Select Systems Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > click the lock > Location Services > Enable Location Services
