If you are an owner of an Apple device and want to help out those affected by Harvey, Apple has made it very easy. They have added a button so money can go directly to the American Red Cross. The company is collecting donations in $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, $200 increments with all proceeds going to Red Cross efforts. All you need is iTunes or iOS App Store.
On another note, Harvey is unprecedented with over 15 – 25 inches of rainfall with some areas receiving even more. New York Times reports at least five dead and dozens injured.
Apple has leveraged its services to benefit charities in the past. The same time last week, the company opened a donation page to Southern Poverty Law Center.
