End of Windows Server 2003, Have You Upgraded?

Support for Windows Server 2003/R2 is approaching in less than 80 days. Many organizations have not yet migrated their systems and may be unsure of the implications or effects it may have such as upgrade costs of hardware and software licenses, software incompatibilities, training, time it may take to migrate and switch systems, and most importantly, no more security patches and updates.

What does no support mean? There will no longer be any updates for bug fixes, performance issues or security vulnerabilities provided by Microsoft. This may leave your system open to a malicious attack or provide access for data theft, if compromised.

If your company has to follow compliance such as HIPAA, PCI, SOX, etc… your organization may fail audits for running unsupported systems and may result in business revenue loss and other fees.
