Data Center Maintenance Window – (9/6/2018)

To Our Valued Clients,

We’re writing to inform you that maintenance will be performed at the Lightwave Data Center beginning on Thursday, September 6, 2018.

Type of Maintenance: Electrical

Location: Lightwave Data Center – 9305 Lightwave Ave, San Diego, CA 92123

Purpose: Perform power distribution system maintenance and retrofit.

High Level Summary: Beginning at 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 6, 2018, AIS will perform upgrades to the enterprise level power distribution system supporting the non-production load at 9305 Lightwave. One medium voltage main switch-gear will be shut-down and upgraded. This initiative is expected to take 8-10 hours to complete.

Important Note: During this upgrade initiative the “2N” configured production load will continue to be supported by UPS; no production load support is expected to see a change in status during this maintenance initiative, as this primarily affects the building lighting and office HVAC support. For a short period of time, up to 15 minutes, the lighting source feeds will be changed over to the new feeds. This will require that we have only emergency lighting available; however, this will only be for a very intermittent period. All work is expected to be completed no later than 3:00 AM Friday morning.

Window Start: 09/06/2018 – 5:00 PM PDT
Window End: 09/07/2018 – 3:00 AM PDT

Service Impact: All systems are expected to remain operational throughout the event and customer impact is not expected.

Schedule: The window for maintenance is scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 6, 2018 and end no later than 3:00 AM on Friday, September 7, 2018. The actual period time of work should not exceed 10, however should additional time be required, notice will be provided and the maintenance window will be expanded.

Testing & Planning: All testing and planning being conducted during this window is part of a pre-defined checklist consistent with IEEE and UL standards.
