In a continued effort to provide our clients with the best state-of-the-art data center infrastructure, this is to notify you that AIS will be performing system maintenance beginning on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
Type of Maintenance: Network
Location: Lightwave Data Center, 9305 Lightwave Ave., CA, 92123
Purpose: AIS Network Engineers will upgrade and install a new network card in Border Router (BR06).
High Level Summary: Beginning at 10:00 PM on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 AIS will perform a system upgrade on Border Router (BR05). The process will include installing a new 10Gig line-card to enhance connectivity between all network devices and carriers.
Window Start: 6/28/2016 – 10:00 PM PDT
Window End: 6/29/2016 – 2:00 AM PDT
Service Impact: This maintenance is not expected to impact any client connectivity. A temporary loss of redundancy may occur in the event that the router reboots (which is unexpected).
Schedule: The window for maintenance is scheduled to begin at 10:00 PM on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 and end no later than 2:00 AM on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. The actual time period of work should not exceed 4 hours, however should additional time be required, notice will be provided and the maintenance window will be expanded.
Testing & Planning: All testing and planning being conducted during this window is part of a pre-defined checklist designed by the AIS network engineering team and consistent with industry standards.
Regression Planning: The AIS network engineering team will be on-site managing this window.
