Data Center Maintenance Window – (4/10/2017 – 4/28/2017)

In a continued effort to provide our clients with the best state-of-the-art data center infrastructure, this is to inform you that maintenance will be performed at the Lightwave Data Center beginning on Monday, April 10, 2017.

Type of Maintenance: Electrical

Location:  Lightwave Data Center, 9305 Lightwave Ave, San Diego CA 92123

Purpose: Perform Chiller Plant Annual PM & Chiller Tower Retrofit.

High Level summary:  On Monday, April 10, 2017 at 7:30 AM the AIS Critical Infrastructure team will perform Chiller Plant Annual PM & Chiller Tower Retrofit. The annual PM will be performed on all central plant components; one of each type component individually. Subsequent to installing and commissioning a temporary air cooled chiller, (1) Cooling tower cell and CDP will be isolated, undergo retrofit to include replacement of fill media and fan VFD. Upon completion and commissioning of the first cooling tower cell, we will rotate to the 2nd and the process will continue until all (3) cells are completed.

Concurrent with cooling tower PM & retrofit we will isolate and perform annual PM on each 500 ton centrifugal chiller individually, including condenser barrel cleaning. At all times two of three chillers will be in production with temporary in stand-by. The process will continue until all three chillers are complete.

All work will take place daily from 7:30 AM until approximately 4:30 PM; Monday-Friday, for approximately three weeks.

Window End:  4/28/2017 – 4:30 PM PDT

Service Impact: No impact is expected as a consequence of this maintenance initiative.

Schedule: The window for maintenance is scheduled to begin at 7:30 AM on Monday, April 10, 2017 and end at 4:30 PM on Friday, April 28, 2017. Should additional time be required, notice will be provided and the maintenance window will be expanded.

Testing & Planning: All testing and planning being conducted during this window is part of a pre-defined checklist designed by the AIS electrical engineering team and consistent with IEEE and UL standards.
