Here’s a popular question that many people ask: “How do I make the Cortana software on Windows 10 ignore everyone else but only respond to my voice?”
The answer is almost intuitive. For Cortana to to filter out one voice, they software has to get to know that voice. To start training here are the steps to follow:
Settings app from gear-shaped icon
- Select Cortana
- Click “Talk to Cortana” on the left side of the box
- Make sure “Let Cortana respond to ‘Hey Cortana’” setting is turned on
- Click the “Learn how I say ‘Hey Cortana’” link
In just a couple minutes with a little training, Cortana can be guided to respond to commands from only one voice. You will be asked to repeat six phrases that are displayed on the screen. Once you complete the training, return to the main Settings app and go back to the Cortana area. Click the button next to “Try to respond to only me”. In just a couple simple steps, Cortana can be all yours.
