To Our Valued Clients,
In a continued effort to provide our clients with the best state-of-the-art data center infrastructure, this is to inform you that the AIS Electrical Engineers will be performing maintenance beginning on Friday, November 04, 2016.
Type of Maintenance: Electrical
Location: LWDC – 9305 Lightwave Ave., CA, 92123
Purpose: AIS electrical engineers will be performing maintenance on electrical circuits.
High Level Summary: Beginning at 8:00 PM on November 04, 2016, AIS electrical engineers will be performing maintenance on electrical circuits. Properly configured “2N” supported environments will not see interruption due to redundancy failover support. Single sourced loads and “2N” loads that are not properly configured will see an interruption of service of up to one hour for each impacted circuit during the upgrade work.
Window Start: 11/04/2016 – 8:00 PM PDT
Window End: 11/06/2016 – 4:00 AM PDT
Service Impact: This maintenance is expected to be service impacting if clients are not properly configured for redundancy on their circuit as well for clients being impacted who are on single power source; as each supported load is shut-down for replacing and upgrading; the load will continue to be supported by the alternate source. Each electrical breaker will be shut-down for approximately one hour.
Schedule: The window for maintenance is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM on Friday, November 04, 2016 and end no later than 04:00 AM on Sunday, November 06, 2016. The actual period time of work should not exceed 32 hours; however should additional time be required, notice will be provided and the maintenance window will be expanded.
Testing & Planning: All testing and planning being conducted during this window is part of a pre-defined checklist designed by the AIS electrical engineering team and consistent with IEEE and UL standards.
Regression Planning: The AIS electrical engineering team will be on-site managing this window. As with any mechanical work, while highly unlikely, there is a possibility that something unexpected may occur during the work process. Should any issues arise, all equipment will be placed back into standard operation and the work will be postponed until the issue is resolved.
