15 Tips Every iPhone 7 User Should Know

  1. iCloud Breakdown – tap on the iCloud line in the new profile section at the top of Settings and you can see a helpful graph of the iCloud breakdown. Tap on the graph to get a more extensive breakdown app by app.
  2. Weather in Maps – click on the tiny bug at the bottom right corner of the weather app to see current weather conditions
  3. Eradicate Outdated Apps – Go to Settings > General > About > Applications and if you see a “>” next to the number of apps you have installed on the Applications line, then that means one app is outdated and could potentially be slowing down your phone.
  4. Change App Icon – iOS 10.3 now allows for some more freedom in customization as users can now change the app icon of a few specified apps.
  5. Rise and Shine – with Rise to Wake, you simply need to pick up your phone and your lock screen will light up instead of you having to press the home button.
  6. Lock Screen Limits – go to Settings > Touch ID > Passcode to disable the items that you don’t want to show up on your lock screen
  7. Rest or Press – if you would rather just rest your finger on the home button instead of having to press it, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Home Button
  8. Choose your Click – if you go to Settings > General > Home Button you can choose your click from a level of 1 to 3 in order to adjust the strength of the buzzing.
  9. Hidden Control Center Panel – when you swipe up from the bottom edge of your iPhone a control panel appears. Most people don’t know that you can swipe left and a new panel appears allowing you to access music and podcasts
  10. Send Messages with Effect – you can now add stickers, GIFs, bubble effects, and screen effects to animate your imessage experience. To access them, hold down the blue arrow used to send to message and the options will appear.
  11. Preserve Camera Setting – go to Settings > Photos & Camera > Preserve Settings > Camera Mode to save the camera mode you leave the application in every time you leave the app.
  12. Lock Camera – to prevent the flickering that occurs when you change from back to front camera or vice versa, head to Settings > Photos & Camera > Record Video > Lock Camera Lens
  13. On the Night Shift – turn you screen into warmer hues for the evening so it is easier for you to fall asleep. Simply go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Night Shift and schedule the change for a specific time of the day
  14. Bedtime Alarm – utilize the new bedtime feature in the clock app which will ensure you get the right amount of sleep
  15. Check Yourself – iOS 10.3 added a new profile section at the top of Settings that allows you to round up all your account information for iCLoud, iTunes, App Store and more.
